Worldreader, an NGO that provides digital reading solutions, has partnered Achievers Ghana, a community-based NGO, to launch a “Zongo Read Project”.
Perbi Cubs, an organization that promotes digital reading, and a partner of the Accra World Book Capital, 2023 has, today, May 11, 2023 launched 𝘒𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘭. The term or word 𝘒𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘭 is inspired by the Ga word ‘Kane’ which means ‘read’ and the English word ‘Carnival’. Kaneval is a year-long programme which promises lots of reading for fun and other educational activities.
As part of weeklong opening ceremony of Accra World Book Capital, 2023, reading marathons have been organised in various communities in Accra.
